Jesus Manuel Marquez, 78, passed away Tuesday morning, December 6, 2016 at his daughter's home in Enid, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Blasita Salcido Esparza and Rafael Marquez, he was born May 22, 1938 in Oscar Soto Mines Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico. This is where he attended school and later was united in marriage to Ramona Marquez Realivasquez.

Mr. Marquez worked as a farmer. They had made their home in Mexico, El Paso, Guymon and Enid. He was a member of the First Hispanic Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cleorilde.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona; seven children: Lorena Marquez Robles and husband, Rosario of Mexico, Sonia Robles and husband, Faustino of Enid, Julia Marquez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Samuel Marquez and wife, Aracely of Guymon, Daniel Marquez and wife, Adriana of Guymon, Jesus Marquez and wife, Nancy of Tulsa and Neftali Vilmas and husband, Juan of Enid; 26 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren: six brothers: Feliciano Marquez of Mexico, Alberto Marquez of Guymon, Jesus Maria Marquez of Enid, Fernando Marquez of Liberal, Jesus Jose Marquez of Mexico and Jesus Marquez of Mexico; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, December 8th at 2:00 p.m. at the First Hispanic Baptist Church, 601 N. Academy in Guymon with Pastor Aleman officiating. Interment will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
