Jeanne Littlejohn, 65, of Woodward, OK, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 24th, 2022. She passed away at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City from stage 4 lung cancer and pneumonia. She was born July 9, 1956 to Patsy Ruth (Wallis) and Chester Edsel Martin in Pampa, TX. Jeanne was the youngest sibling to Jesse, Gaytha and Clinton.

Shortly after she was born they moved to Big Spring, TX and then to their longtime home in Hardesty, OK. She attended school in Hardesty and graduated in 1974. After high school she worked a few jobs to include a CNA position at the hospital in Guymon, Jack's Fruit Market and the Hardesty Mercantile. Her love and passion was singing, and she got to do so in a band with her brother, Clinton, called The Good Ole Boys. Her favorite song you could always catch her singing was 'Coal Miner's Daughter' by Loretta Lynn. She enjoyed being around her family and friends no matter what the occasion. Jeanne often reminisced of the family reunion her parents held at their house where they cooked a pig in the ground and everyone slept outside and on the roof of the house. She truly loved spending time with her family.

Jeanne met the love of her life, Eugene, in Texhoma through a cousin. They were married October 2, 1981 at the courthouse in Guymon and lived in Hooker. She started working for Red Dunnagan at Dunnagan's Instrument Shop where she fixed gas company chart clocks and worked there until 1985. She said this was her most memorable and meaningful job. After three long years on September 23, 1985 she finally welcomed her miracle child, Kimberly D'Lynn, into the world. Jeanne enjoyed watching her daughter play various sports and participate in the local pageant each year. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for her daughter. In 1993, she began working at Duckwall-Alco as a clerk and worked her way up to store manager. In 2005 Duckwall's shut down and Eugene's job shifted them to move to Woodward. A year after moving to Woodward she began a 16 year career at Walmart working in various departments.

Jeanne found her new church home at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist church where they often asked her to sing special music. In 2008 she lost her husband to melanoma. In 2005 she became a Nana to her first grandson, Cade Dylan, and helped raise him while they lived together. Jeanne welcomed two more grandson's in 2013 (Kyler Jay) and 2016 (Dakota Gene). She enjoyed watching them play basketball and baseball while bragging about them often. She loved cooking big meals on the holidays for her family. Easter was her favorite holiday, because she could boil three dozen eggs and then watch the boys color and hunt them all around the house and yard.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents Edsel and Patsy Martin, husband Eugene Littlejohn, and an infant brother.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberly and husband Jeffrey Basler of Norman. Siblings: Jesse and wife Vicki Martin of Hardesty, Gaytha and husband Carol Oakes of Granby, MO and Clinton and wife Sarah Martin of Hardesty. Grandson's: Cade Clifton (16), Kyler Basler (8) and Dakota Basler (5). She is also survived by many more family and friends she loved.

Visitation with the family will be held Monday evening, February 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 1st at 2pm. at the Hardesty Community Church (Apostolic Faith). Interment will follow in the Hartville Cemetery.
