Delores Jean Hensley, 95, longtime Texhoma, Oklahoma resident, passed away Friday morning, January 2, 2026 at the Pioneer Manor in Hugoton, Kansas.
The daughter of Lawrence Wilburn and Edna Opal (Leist) Casler, she was born January 30, 1930 in May, Oklahoma. Jean attended school in May, graduating with the Class of 1948.
Jean and Robert Lee Hensley were united in marriage on December 29, 1950 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They moved to Texhoma from Woodward in 1955. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1996.
Jean was a homemaker, member of the Texhoma First Christian Church, Garden Club, Red Hat Society and Bridge Club.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Edna Casler, husband, Robert Lee Hensley, son, Roger Lee Hensley, daughter, Lesa Ann Kautz, grandson, Bradley Wayne Hensley, and great grandson, Korbyn Dawson Hensley-Kaberna.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney Hensley and wife, Florence of Texhoma, and Rick Hensley of Hot Springs, Arkansas, daughter-in-law, Vickie Hensley of Mineral Wells, Texas; eight grandchildren: Shannon Hensley of Danbury, Texas, Whitney and Brandon Surratt of Forney, Texas, Bryan Hensley and wife, Madeline of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Chad and Darla Kautz of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Morgan and Billy Daniels of Calion, Arkansas, Casey Hensley of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Rusty Janzen and wife, Torri of Perryton, Texas, and Beau Janzen of Liberal, Kansas. Survivors also include eight great grandchildren: Brody Hensley, Bentley Surratt, Augustus Surratt, Lionel Surratt, Bearon Surratt, Gracelynn Daniels, Savannah Janzen and Imoni Garcia.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, January 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Texhoma First Christian Church with Pastor Earl Buchan officiating. Interment will follow in the Texhoma Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the church prior to services.
The Hensley family request memorials be given to the Texhoma First Christian Church. Memorials will be accepted at Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942. Friends can sign the online guest book and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
