Janet Horner, 68, of Guymon passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at the BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

The daughter of Donald Wayne and Ida June Walker, Janet Delaine was born January 1, 1955 in Boise City, Oklahoma.  Janet attended the Boise City school system, graduating with the Class of 1974.

Janet and Herb Horner were united in marriage on December 29, 1973 at Boise City.  They moved to Guymon from Boise City in November of 1975.  Janet worked as a hairdresser and manager of Eddie's for many years.  She enjoyed being outdoors - spending time gardening and growing roses.  She also enjoyed being at the track in Ruidoso, but her greatest love was her grandkids and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and June Walker and one brother, Gary Walker.

Survivors include her husband, Herb Horner of the home; three children:  Kirby Horner and wife, Ami of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Kerry Horner and wife, Patti of Kingsbury, Texas and Janna Goodlett and husband, Brandon of Conroe, Texas; two grandchildren, Karson and Emily Horner; several grandanimals; two sisters: Joyce Farmer and husband, Joe of Boise City, Oklahoma and Judy Winkler and husband, Bill of Dallas, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends, including Cleo Mongold of Newcastle, Oklahoma.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, October 6th at 2:00 p.m. at the Wheeless Cemetery, west of Boise City under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
