James L. Mussman, 49, lifelong Guymon area resident passed away Monday night, May 22, 2017 at the Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

The son of Leonard and Virginia (Daniel) Mussman, James was born October 24, 1967 in Harrison, Arkansas. James attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the Class of 1986. He attended Panhandle State University, where he received his BS Degree in Animal Science.

James worked for several years in maintenance for TransCanada. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents: Leonard and Virginia Mussman of rural Guymon; his three children: Lane Mussman of Perryville, Missouri, Jacee and husband, Kyle Gale of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Trey Mussman of rural Guymon; two sisters: Janice and husband, Dave Johnson of Wheeler, Texas and Lacy and husband, Ethan Walker of Atwood, Kansas; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

A private family inurnment service will be held at a later date. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

Memorials in James' name can be made to a charity of choice and will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
