James Richard Haylett, 79, of Guymon, passed away Tuesday morning, November 18, 2025 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

The son of Benjamin Samuel and Irene (Baker) Haylett, he was born October 19, 1946 in Franklin, Pennsylvania.  James attended school in Pennsylvania where he graduated.

He moved to Hardesty, Oklahoma in 2000 and to Guymon in 2010.  He was engaged in ranching and feedlot operations the majority of his working life.

He is survived by six children: Kittie, Crystal, Cindy, Jennifer, Vincent and V.J.; two sisters, and one brother.
