James Lowden "Jimmie" Brown, Jr., 84, of Hardesty, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

Jimmie was born October 20, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to James Lowden and Mary Brown. They moved to Hardesty when Jimmie was a young boy. Jimmie graduated from Hardesty High School, attended Panhandle State University and served in the Army. Jimmie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hardesty, and served on the Perryton Equity Exchange Board for many years as well as the Hartville Cemetery Board. Jimmie was a farmer through and through and was known for his "water witching" skills.

Jimmie married Sharon Blair Brown on June 8, 1957 at the Bethel Baptist Church, Hardesty, Ok. They were married 53 years prior to her passing away in 2011. They had 4 daughters, Donia, Nancy, Tammy and Lisa.

Jimmie is survived by daughters Donia Andersen and her husband Craig, Tammy Overton and her husband Kim and Lisa Ward and her husband Gary. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Christopher Overton, Jamie Nall, Cash Overton, Ellen Ward, Seth Ward & Tyler Andersen and 12 great grandchildren, his brother Gayle Brown, of Hardesty, and brothers in law, Edward Blair, Tommy Blair and Bobby Blair and many other family and friends.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, daughter, Nancy Overton, son-in-law, Curt Overton and son-in-law, Berry McGuire and granddaughter, Chani Overton Ferguson.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday, April 9th at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Hardesty, Oklahoma. Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon, OK.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Hartville Cemetery Fund or to a charity of your choice. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
