Jacky Lee Fry, 89, lifelong Texhoma resident, husband, father and beloved friend to so many, was carried in the arms of Jesus through Heaven's Gates Friday, November 26, 2021 at the University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Jack was born north of Texhoma in the family farm house, on October 21, 1932. His first couple of years of school were completed a mile or so from the farm at a small country school. He did, of course have to walk up hill in the snow, both ways every day to attend school!! After that time, he started attending school in Texhoma. It was there that he met his future wife, Betty Jo Burleson, they married October 24, 1950.

Jack was preceded in death by Betty, his wife on June 22, 2020, he is also preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ila Fry, sister, Joyce Fry-Allard, and brother, Edward Ray Fry.

He is survived by a daughter, Rickey Fry-Blankenship and her husband, Gary of Wimberley, Texas; a son, Michael Lee Fry of Visalia, California; granddaughter Nicole Reid-Kiser and husband, Wayne of Austin, Texas, and two great grandsons, Liam and Luke Kiser of Austin. His extended family, sister, Gloria Fry-Bennett of Las Vegas, Nevada, his brother, Edward Ray Fry of Amarillo, Texas, and many nieces and nephews who were dearly loved.

Jack was a man who never met a stranger and his word was his honor. Personal integrity was extremely important to him. "A man is only as good as his word" was often heard by his children while they were growing up. He was respected not only by his friends, but also by his church family.

He enjoyed spending time at "The Place" he and Betty owned in Taos Canyon, NM. He loved fishing, hunting and watching "loudly" the OK Sooners play football! He could repair most anything and if he threw something away it was only because it was worn out!

He will be deeply missed not only by his family but also by many friends. He will not be forgotten, but remembered with a smile. Gone now, but never forgotten, he was loved.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, December 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel in Guymon with Rev. Matt Maples, pastor of the Texhoma First Christian Church officiating.
