Helen Price, 80, longtime Guymon resident passed away Tuesday evening, August 27, 2024 at the Pioneer Manor  in Hugoton, Kansas.

The daughter of William P. and Dorothy (Lay) Henderson, Helen Ruth was born November 17, 1943 in Orange, Texas.  The family moved to Guymon when Helen was young and she attended the Guymon schools, graduating in 1957.

Helen and Eugene Price married in 1962 and they had three sons, one who died in infancy.  Helen was a homemaker and later worked for the Guymon Library, retiring in the late 1990's.  She was a member of Connection Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dorothy Henderson; infant son, David Michael Price; one brother, Don Henderson and nephew, Christopher Henderson.

Survivors include two sons:  Michael Price and wife, Brenda of Ulysses, Kansas and Kevin Lee Price of Guymon; four grandchildren: Hannah Price of Hugoton, KS, Morgan Price of Rocky Ford, CO, Brittney and husband, Michael Baeza of Hugoton, KS and Clara Price of Johnson, KS; three great grandchildren: McKinzey Price, Gracelynn and Oaklynn Baeza; an aunt, Barbara Lay of Guymon; niece, Cherie Henderson; great niece, Emmy Appleton and great nephew, Dylan Appleton.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon with Rev. Dr. Dallas McGlasson officiating.
