Obituary

Harold Ray Mussman, 74, lifelong Guymon resident left this earth into his Father's loving arms in the early hours of Monday, November 21, 2022.

The son of Louie and Eva P. (Cooper) Mussman, he was born January 14, 1948 in Guymon.  Harold attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the Class of 1967.  Harold worked with his dad on the farm after high school until he joined the Army on December 30, 1969 as a motor grader operator, where he was tasked with defending the White House steps.  On July 22, 1970 Harold returned to Guymon to assist with the family farm due to a family hardship.  That is when he met and courted his love, Eva.

Harold and Eva Elizabeth Shook were united in marriage on June 9, 1972 in Guymon.  Harold and Eva built a life and family in Guymon.  Harold worked for Behne Construction, Shupe Bros. Trucking, and Texas County District 2, where he retired in August 2011.  Harold was a very skilled equipment operator and loved operating machinery and trucks as well as welding, however his biggest love was for his family.  He was  a devoted husband, dad, grandfather, brother and friend.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mussman; parents, Louie and Eva Mussman; infant daughter, Heidi Mussman; and one brother, Dean Mussman.

Survivors include his daughter, Helen and husband, Steve Foster of Haven, Kansas; son, Jasper Mussman of Guymon; four grandchildren: Samantha Foster and Quinn Dilbeck of Hutchinson, KS, Jordan Foster of Hutchinson, KS, Derrick and Stephanie Hull of Hutchinson, KS and Heidi Foster of Haven, KS; three great grandchildren: John Dilbeck, Noah Wolfe and McKenzie Hull; one sister, Jeanne Murrah of Guymon; and one brother, Leonard Mussman and wife, Virginia of Guymon; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home on Friday morning, November 25 th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Funeral services with military honors will be conducted Friday afternoon, November 25 th at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Southern Baptist Church with Billy Brooks officiating.  A private family inurnment will be at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon at a later date.
