Gloria Idalia Chavez, 74, of Guymon passed away Wednesday evening, December 23, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon.

The daughter of Gilberto Chavez and Margarita Herrera, she was born October 27, 1946 in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico.

She was united in marriage to Rosendo Hernandez in November of 2001 at La Cruz, Chihuahua, Mexico.  She moved to Guymon in 1996 from California.  She was a homemaker and member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and one sister: Oscar, Celia and Enrique.

Survivors include her husband, Rosendo Hernandez; her four sons and one daughter:  Carlos De La Garza, Guadalupe De La Garza, Jose De La Garza, Ramiro De La Garza and  Luis De La Garza; her grandchildren:  Adriana, Luis, Karla, Patrick, Kiara, Denisse, Annette, Luis Alberto, Ileana, Jennifer, Fernando, Jarely, Rocio, Sandra, Marcos, Daniela, Jose Luis, Itzayana; twenty-one great grandchildren: Mia, Manuel, Alexia, Luis Emilio, Jaedyn, Kaalani, Josaely, Isai, Sophia, Luis Carlos, Julio Cesar, Valeria, Leonardo, Valentina, Dhalia, Omar, Mabel, Leonardo, Ashley, Marisol, and Carlotta; brothers and sisters: Rosaelva, Luz Elvira, Rodolfo, Fransisco, Ernesto and Horacio.

Rosary will be recited on Monday evening, December 28 ^th at 6:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church.  Funeral mass will be conducted  Tuesday afternoon, December 29 ^th at 2:00 p.m. also at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Raul Sanchez, celebrant.  Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.  Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
