Gerald Wayne "Jerry" Ferguson, 70 of Guymon, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Heritage Community Dunaway Manor.

The son of Joe and Doris (Goble) Ferguson, he was born March 26, 1946 in Guymon. Jerry attended school in Guymon and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Jerry was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served in the 1st Air Cav Division. He worked as a cook with the Salvation Army, was employed several years with the Oklahoma State Highway Department and also worked in retail sales. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards and pool and rooting for Oklahoma University.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Ferguson; brother, Leon Ferguson; nephew, Brandon Baugh and grandparents, Carl and Ellen (Reust) Goble.

Survivors include his mother, Doris Ferguson of Guymon; six siblings: Ronald Ausbun of Guymon, Anita Ferguson of Guymon, Donna Tarver of Guymon, Paul Ferguson of Guymon, Melissa Baugh and husband, Eryn of Carrollton, Texas and Russell Ferguson of Guymon.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, December 31st at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Pastor Wayne Dawson of the Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

The Ferguson family request memorials be given to the Heritage Community/Dunaway Manor. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
