Obituary

Fred Delbert Robinson, 82, lifelong Guymon resident, passed away Monday morning, March 13th, 2017 at his home following a brief illness.

The son of Alfred and Minnie (Wainscott) Robinson, he was born December 14, 1934 in Guymon.

He was united in marriage to Estelle Bromlow on May 12, 1954 in Clayton, New Mexico. She preceded him in death on July 20, 2010.

As a young man, Fred resided at Boy's Ranch for three years. He was engaged in construction with Behne Construction for 47 years and for the past 17 years he delivered the Guymon Daily Herald Newspaper. He was an active member of the Guymon Church of the Nazarene, where he was known to all the children as the Bubble Gum Man.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Robinson, mother, Minnie McCasline, his wife, Estelle, step son, Bert Price, granddaughter, Crystal Price, three sisters, and four brothers.

Survivors include four daughters: Roberta Taylor of Guymon, Freda Eggers of Guymon, Teresa King of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Chasity Lucero and husband, Joseph of Guymon, and one son, Jeff Robinson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Survivors also include five grandchildren: Beth Ann, Jackie, Bobbie Kay, Anthony, Tonya, numerous great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, March 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Guymon Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Wayne Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

Memorials in Fred's name may be made to Nazarene Missions. Memorials will be accepted at the church office or the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
