Floyd Isaac Darnell, 74, longtime Guymon resident, passed away Saturday morning, October 7th 2017 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The son of Floral Isaac and Mary Emaline (Moser) Darnell, he was born June 3, 1943 in Woodward, Oklahoma. The family moved to Guymon from Woodward in 1953. Floyd attended school in Woodward and Guymon, graduating with the Class of 1961.

Floyd farmed and ranched until his retirement in 2002. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Italy. He attended the Nazarene Church and enjoyed family and traveling. He was married to Donna Goble on April 1, 2005 in Amarillo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Oleta Brankel and brother, Jerry Darnell.

Survivors include his wife, Donna of the home, daughter, Tiffany Honeycutt and husband, Robert of Fort Supply, Oklahoma, brother, Don Darnell and wife, Willie of Florence, Colorado, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, sister-in-law, Betty Darnell of Lubbock, Texas, brother-in-law, Gary Brankel of Guymon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday afternoon, October 13th at 1:00 p.m. at the Guymon Church of the Nazarene with Angela Walker officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

Memorials in memory of Floyd may be given to the American Heart Association. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
