Ervin Lee, 78, longtime Guymon resident passed away Monday evening, March 18, 2024 at the Wheatridge Park Nursing Home in Liberal, Kansas.

The son of J R and Minnie Lee (Mallard) Lee, Ervin Riley was born January 22, 1946 in Guymon, Oklahoma.  Ervin was raised in Lawton, Oklahoma and graduated from Lawton High School with the Class of 1964.

Ervin met his future wife, Shirley Ann Bone while in Lawton and they were united in marriage on March 27, 1965 in Lawton.  They moved to Duncan and later Velma, OK so Ervin could follow his love of working on cars.  Later they moved to Guymon to be near family.  His brothers-in-law got him on working at Adam's Hardfacing, but following a layoff he was with out working being at the bottom of the totem pole.  He did odd jobs here and there before beginning his career with Orkin Pest Control.  He retired in 2014 following 25 years of service.

What dad enjoyed the most out of life was fishing and enjoying time with his wife and kids.  Wonderful memories were made when he would take us fishing with his dad and siblings, whenever they were in town or if when we went with pawpaw in Stecker, OK.  Dad was a simple and easy man - he didn't sweat the small stuff and always reminded us everything would be fine.  He also loved music, from early country western swing to 50's and 60's music.

Ervin was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley on October 21, 2023 and he joins her in heaven to celebrate their 58th anniversary on March 27th.  He was also preceded in death his father, J R Lee; mother, Minnie Lee; one brother, Steve Lee; two sisters, Sandra Powell McCarney and Angela Lee; two brothers-in-law, J W Bone and Chris Campbell; one sister-in-law, Earleen Bone; one niece, Dawn D. (Clark) Sullivan; one nephew, Tommy Bone; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.

Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Marshall and son-in-law, Allen Marshall of Hooker, OK; his son, Danny Lee and daughter-in-law, Melissa Bales of Goodwell, OK; two sisters, Jackie Campbell and brother-in-law, Terry DeMoss of Piedmont, OK and Karen Tivis of Liberal, KS; one granddaughter, Sharla and husband, David O'Bryant of Crowley, TX; two grandsons, Jonathan Lee and Jacob Lee of Moore, OK.  Ervin also has one brother-in-law, Orville Bone of Oklahoma City, OK; nieces: Marjorie Bone of Oklahoma City, Cheryl Spargo and Karen Harvey of Henderson, NV, Shanda Strickland of Liberal, KS and LeAnn McCarney of Woodward, OK; nephews: Jason Clark of Oklahoma City, Michael McCarney of Amarillo, TX, Lenny and Christopher of Missouri, Keagan Tivis of Kansas; and many great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

The family will greet friends on Friday, March 22nd from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Rev. Kason Oakes officiating.  Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery.
