Eluterio Alvarado, 90, of Guymon passed away Saturday morning, May 19, 2018 at his home.

The son of Eliodoro and Agustina Alvarado, he was born April 18, 1928 in Durango, Mexico.

Eluterio was united in marriage to Maria Sanchez in 1947 at Cedallos Durango, Mexico. The family moved to the area in 1974 from Durango. Mr. Alverado worked for the railroad and Cargil for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria on March 11, 2014; his parents; one daughter, Ramona Gonzalez; one brother, Juan Alvarado; and one sister, Aleza Alvarado.

He is survived by three sons: Armando Alvarado and Vickie of Guymon, Samuel Alvarado and Vera of Guymon, and Salvador Sanchez and Donnaof Oklahoma City; one daughter Josefina Franco of Artesia, New Mexico; 27 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday evening, May 21st at 6:00 p.m. at the Bunch - Roberts Chapel. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kansas at a later date. Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
