Dennis Lile, 84, lifelong Guymon resident passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the Heritage Community Manor.

The son of Claud Eugene and Dorothy Fern (Longwill) Lile, Dennis Eugene was born March 27, 1937 in Guymon. He attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the Class of 1955.

Dennis worked as a police officer in Guymon for many years. He also enjoyed umpiring baseball games and boxing matches. He was a member of the Foursquare Church.

Dennis and Katherine L. "Kathy" Scott were united in marriage on August 26, 1988 in Guymon. She preceded him in death on August 13, 1999.

In addition to his wife, Kathy, he was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Morris Lile.

Survivors include his three sons: Mike Lile and wife, Cindy of Vinita, Oklahoma, Dane Lile and wife Shelley of Vinita, Oklahoma and Brent Lile and wife, Gina of Booker, Texas; daughter, Kim Lile Medina of Amarillo, Texas; step-son, James Acord of Amarillo, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two brothers: Max Lile and Robert Lile and wife, Jean all of Moore, Oklahoma.

Family visitation will be Thursday evening, August 12th between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, August 13th at 1:00 p.m. at the Connection Church, 1901 N. Lelia St. with Rev. Dr. Dallas McGlasson officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
