David R. Green, 84, passed away Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 at his home in Texhoma, Oklahoma.
The son of Gordon Lee Green Sr. and Wilma Dorothy Ratliff, he was born October 2, 1932 in Paris, Texas.
David attended school in Paris, graduating with the Class of 1951. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He moved to the panhandle from Paris in 1982. David was a master electrician and owned and operated D&G Electric for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2002.
He and Gayle Yvonne Ammerman were married on May 19, 1984 in Englewood, Colorado. They have been residents of Texhoma since.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Wilma, a brother, Gordon Green Jr., and two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Raighlynn Green.
Survivors include his wife, Gayle Green of the home; five daughters and three sons: Sheri Blanton & Jim of Blossom, Texas, LaDonna Arey and Anthony of Rowlett, Texas, Anecia Thomas and Billy of Paris, Texas, Cheree Turley of Texhoma, Karl Green & Nancy Romero of Texhoma, John Green & Lacey Bare of Texhoma, Shannon Word & Arba of Texhoma and Channon Green & Stacey of Marysville, California. Survivors also include 18 grandchildren: Brooke, Michael, Charles, Serena, Trevor, Tristen, Skyler, Keirstin, Kaitlyn, Catalina, Isaac, James Allen, Kyle, Austin, Jordan, Meredith, Catherine and Aurora; 7 great grandchildren and his mother-in-law, Bonnie Hardin of Littleton, Colorado.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, December 9th at 10:00 a.m. at the Texhoma First Christian Church with Pastor Chris Hedges officiating. Family committal will be the Texhoma Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
The Green family will greet friends Thursday, December 8th between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials in memory of David may be given to the Cal Farley Boy's Ranch or the Guymon Animal Shelter. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
