David Arriola, 50, longtime Guymon resident, died Saturday afternoon, September 16th, 2017 at the Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Gruver, Texas.
The son of Gonzalo Moreno and Lourdes Arriola, he was born April 6, 1967 in El Paso, Texas. David moved from El Paso to Guymon and has been a resident for the past 22 years.
He was married to Maria Velia Mota Serrano in Guymon, and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. David has worked for the City of Guymon for the past 17 years; he was a meter reader with the Gas and Water Department.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Uvaldo; one sister, Antonia; a nephew, Jason and grandmother, Maria.
Survivors include his wife, Velia of the home; his mother, Lourdes Arriola of El Paso, Texas; three sons: Ramon Israel Arriola and wife, Marisela, Ismael Michael Arriola and Joel Arriola all of Guymon. Survivors also include three grandchildren: Yariel, Sisa and Lulu Arriola and four sisters, Bertha, Rosa, Irene and Carmen.
Rosary services will be Friday evening, September 22nd at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Peter's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be Saturday morning, September 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Mike Wheelahan, celebrant. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
