Darla Sue Burrow, 67, passed away Thursday evening, July 7, 2022 at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. |
The daughter of Joe Martin Burries , Sr. and Lynda (Martin) Burries , Darla Sue was born February 22, 1955 in Arkansas City, Kansas , the second of four children . The family moved to Texhoma in 1969. She graduated from Texhoma High School with the Class of 1974.
Darla was united in marriage to Robert Keith Burrow on December 18, 1971 in Texhoma . Darla was a devoted homemaker and had worked as a cook for The Memorial Hospital of Texas County for 10 years and as a cook for Texas County Sheriff's Department for over 15 years. Keith preceded her in death on December 24, 2021.
Darla's grandchildren and great-grandson were the light of her life. She enjoyed going to their games and activities. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and playing canasta. She was an avid OU fan and an Oklahoma City Thunder fan.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Burries , Sr. and Lynda Burries Yocham ; infant brother, Terry Lee Burries ; brother, Joe Martin Burries , Jr.; sister, Carla Preston and granddaughter, Rebeca VanderMerwe .
Survivors include her three children: JoLynda Neas and husband, Lance, Snowden Burrow and wife, Macee and David Burrow all of Texhoma ; grandchildren: Adam Casdorph , ShaiLynn Burrow, Jarrett Burrow and Jessica Woodbury; one great grandson, Ezekiel Jos iah; niece s Michele Bundy and husband Valton , Lacy Alexander and husband Robert of Texhoma , Jolene Ortega and husband Junior of Amarillo, Tx and s everal great nieces and nephews as well.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon, July 11 th at 2:00 p.m. at Connection Church in Guymon with Rev. Dr. Dallas McGlasson, officiating. There will be a time of viewing on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home.
