Dan Huddleston, 75, of Guymon passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 in Liberal, Kansas.

The son of William Newton "Newt" and Vera Belle (Phillips) Huddleston, Dan Philip was born January 11, 1949 in Guymon, Oklahoma.  He was raised in Guymon, graduating from Guymon High School Class of 1967.

Dan and Sherry Young were married on October 14, 1975 and had two daughters, later divorcing.  Dan was a lifetime local of Guymon.  Dan worked as a skilled machinery operator and as a skilled carpenter.   His true passion was congregating with friends and telling stories of "old times" and the "good Ol'days".  He had many many friends and didn't know a stranger.  Dan loved riding motorcycles and anything car related.
He also enjoyed  music – rocking out to the blues, oldies, classic rock and apparently loved Taylor Dayne!  He always wanted to flyand truly treasured the mountains and oceans.  Above all this, he absolutely loved his girls and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his two daughters andtheir families:  Danette and husband, Eric Kimsey and Granddogs, Luna and Elvis of Oak Creek, Colorado and Holly and husband, Joe Flores and Grandkids, Amara and Zade of Guymon; his sister, Sandra and husband, Dwayne Fronterhouse of Guymon; nephew, Scott and niece, Amy.

A graveside service will be held Thursday afternoon, February 8th at 2:00 p.m. at the family plot in the NE corner of Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.
