Cristian Salinas Cerda, 27, of Guymon passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The son of Othon Salinas and Susana Cerda, he was born July 2, 1993 in Jose Isabel Robles, Durango, Mexico.  Cristian came to Guymon in 2008.  He attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the GHS Class of 2012.

Cristian worked in production with Seaboard Foods and was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.  Cristian was passionate about his food and loved going to new restaurants and always enjoyed trying the variety of different foods.  He loved dancing, watching WWE and any Miss Universe shows.  Cristian also loved to enter any giveaways, always sure he was going to win!  He will always be remembered for his kindness and fun-loving attitude.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jose & Isaura Salinas and Jose Angel Cerda and one sister, Azucena Salinas Cerda.

Survivors include his parents, Othon and Susana Salinas of Robles, Durango; four brothers, Carlos and wife, Viole Salinas of Guymon, Martin and wife, Laura Salinas of Robles, Durango, Favian and wife, Alicia Salinas of Robles, Durango and Eduardo and wife, Brenda Salinas of Robles, Durango; 13 nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and a host of cousins.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, October 19 ^th beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday afternoon, October 20 ^th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Jerome Krug, Celebrant.  Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery.  Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
