Connie Louise Martin, 72, longtime Guymon resident, passed away Thursday morning April 2, 2026 at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
The daughter of Felix and Andreita (Romero) Sanchez, she was born October 3, 1953 in Clayton, New Mexico. Connie attended school in Clayton graduating with the Class of 1971. Connie moved to Guymon from Rolla, Kansas in 1975, and attended Victory Center Church.
She was married to Alvin Martin on July 1, 2000 in Springer, New Mexico. Connie was a homemaker and care giver.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Andreita Sanchez, six siblings: Junior Sanchez, Noe Sanchez, Margaret Sanchez, Priscilla Martinez, Antonio and Toni Ann Sanchez.
She is survived by her husband, Al Martin of the home, two sons, Joseph Archuleta of Guymon and Casey Archuleta and wife, Karri Ann Archuleta of Borger, Texas, eight brothers and sisters, Julia Valdez, Lucy Dominguez, Patricia De Palma and husband, Mike, Viola Earp and husband, Jerry, Archie Sanchez and wife, Jopey, Rosalie Hernandez, Frank Sanchez, and Carlos Sanchez. Survivors also include eight grandchildren: Mercadys Chavoya, Torrey Archuleta, Costin Archuleta, Alexys Chavoya, Joey Archuleta, Ava Archuleta, Joziah Chavoya, Chasen Archuleta, and great grandchildren: Vayda Shopteese, Sebastian Moreno, and Slayte Shopteese.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, April 9, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Center Church with Pastors Margaret Mendenhall and Eugene Like officiating.
