Clela Jean Balenseifen, 93, of Guymon passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

The daughter of C.C. and Minnie Ross, she was born July 9, 1930 in Grenville, New Mexico.  She was raised and attended school in Grenville.

Clela was married to Olen Henry and they had six children.  The family moved from Clayton, New Mexico to Keyes, Oklahoma in 1957.  She was married to Herman Balenseifen on March 15, 1986 at Boise City.  They made Guymon their home.  Herman preceded her in death on March 2002.  Clela loved spending time visiting both with family and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; one daughter, Willie Darnell; one son, Charles Henry; sister, Pat Morgan; and five brothers: Richard, Walt, Clifford, Joe and Henry Ross.

Survivors include her four children: Vada and husband, Gary Ferguson of Corsicana, Texas, Treva and husband, Darrell Richards of Hardesty, Connie and husband, Lloyd Boles of Guymon and Bill Henry and wife, Charlene of Canon City, Colorado; son-in-law, Don Darnell of Canon City, Colorado; ten grandchildren:  Gwen Price, Pam (Bobby) Davenport, Jason Richards, Jarod Richards, Michael (Heather) Boles, Alan (Destiny) Boles, Hope (Kyle) Chamblim, Troy Darnell, Misty Darnell and Tisha Darnell; nineteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Marge Garner of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The family will greet friends at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home on Friday evening, September 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with her grandson, Rev. Alan Boles officiating.  Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery.
