Clarence Sides, 93, longtime Guymon resident, passed away Wednesday morning, May 19, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The son of Thomas and Maggie (Tubbs) Sides, he was born February 2, 1928 in Henrey, Oklahoma. Clarence attended school in Latham and Dog Creek, Oklahoma.
He served in the United States Air Force in Germany, and was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Clarence and Bessie Romero were united in marriage August 12, 1958 in Clayton, New Mexico, she preceded him in death on October 20, 2020.

The family moved to Guymon from Cimarron, New Mexico in 1966. Clarence was a truck driver for Behne Construction, retiring in 1990.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bessie Sides, son-in-law, Pat Norris and grandson, Jason Norris.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Sharon Norris of Guymon.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday morning, May 24th at 10:00 a.m. in the Elmhurst Cemetery with Pastor Van Heckle officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given for family use. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942. Visitation will be Sunday, May 23rd between the hours of 2:00 and 8:00 p.m..
