Charley John "C.J." Wilkinson, 84, of Goodwell, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday morning, October 22, 2020 in Amarillo, Texas.

The son of Julius Harold and Mary Madonna Elizabeth (Clawson) Wilkinson, he was born February 28, 1936 in Guymon. C.J. attended school in Guymon, graduating with the Class of 1955. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1963.

C.J. and Willie Buttry were united in marriage on April 11, 1963 in Clayton, New Mexico. He was engaged in farming and maintenance for Goodwell schools, OPSU and First Baptist Church. He was an active member of the Grace Southern Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Art and Mary Jane Wilkinson, and father and mother-in-law, Calvin and Martha Lacey Buttry.

Survivors include his wife, Willie of the home, sons, Jeff and Morgan Wilkinson of Guymon, and daughters, Angela Hardy and husband, Doug of Perryton, Texas, Anastacia Wilkinson of Tomball, Texas and Petie Barlow and husband, Wayne of Alvin, Texas. Survivors also include grandchildren: Clay Wilkinson and wife, Jamie of Prince George, VA, Carlin Wilkinson of Monett, MO, Jessica and Seth Wilkinson of Guymon, Mike Meyer and wife, Melissa of Perryton, Nick Meyer and wife, Sarah of Texhoma, Caleb Abbott of Perryton, Kayla Castanon and husband Edgar of Canyon, Samantha Hardy of Perryton, Magen Hyde and husband, Derek of Amarillo, Brooke Hardy of Amarillo, Ethan Fischer of Hooker, Braden Fischer of Hooker and fiancée, Sarah Jenkins of Goodwell, and Justin and Trenton Barlow of Alvin, TX; great grandchildren, Wren Mathis of Prince George, VA, Quentin Wilkinson of Monett, MO, Mason, Matthew, McKenzie, Madison and Marshall Meyer of Perryton, Hunter and Hayden Meyer of Texhoma, Remington Abbott of Perryton, Breynlenly and Charley Castanon of Canyon, TX and Aeryanna and Charlotte Hyde of Amarillo;  brother, Joe Wilkinson of Hawaii; brothers-in-law, Jim Buttry and wife, Dodie, Wayne Buttry and wife, Anita, sister-in-law, Colleen Ross, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 31st at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Southern Baptist Church with Russell Tidwell, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. The Wilkinson family will greet friends Friday, October 30th between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
