Cindy Lane Moore, age 69, of Yarbrough School and Surrey Hills Community south of Elkhart, Kansas, died from metastatic breast cancer on July 14, 2023 at her home surrounded by loving family and friends.

Cindy Lane Guymon was born on June 26, 1954 at Morton County Hospital, Elkhart, KS to her parents Jack and Lane (Craver) Guymon.  Cindy was one of four children: Sherri, Tony, Cindy, and Shane. Cindy often helped take care of her younger brother, Shane, while her mom was working.  Cindy graduated from Yarbrough school and then attended a year at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. While in Yarbrough High School, Cindy was recognized as the Good Citizen of Yarbrough with an additional candidate from the Guymon and Texhoma Senior classes prestigiously awarded by the Daughter's of the American Revolution. Cindy was also chosen to go to Washington, D.C. for "The Presidential Classroom of Young Americans." Cindy was a cheerleader through school and was a class officer for four years. Other school honors include: Student Council officer; member of Pep Club, newspaper and annual staff; seven years in band; four years in chorus; drama club for three years, played basketball six years and lettered three years.

Cindy was devoted to her parents in their final days and was instrumental in giving Jack and Lane Guymon everything she could do to support them before their deaths.

Cindy was married to Dewey Moore on Aug 12, 1977 and Dewey adopted Cindy's daughter, Taneha Marie, who was born August 24, 1975. Afterwards she had two more children, Cason Wade Moore born October 22, 1978 and Cory Kade Moore, born January 9, 1980. Then a surprise fourth child, Taylor Loren Moore, was born August 10, 1998. Cindy and Dewey were guardians of Taneha's' daughter, Katie Lynn Thomas, who was born November 27, 2003 and who now resides in Bixby, Oklahoma.

Cindy and her husband Dewey also had various residences throughout the years in Guymon, OK; Otis, KS; Enid, OK; Spearville, KS; and Joplin (Saginaw), MO.  Cindy was a devoted and loving mother and housewife. Throughout the years she enjoyed having fun and earning a little extra money by selling Avon, Forever Living products, Home Interiors, and Mary Kay cosmetics. She also held part-time positions at a women's boutique clothing store in Guymon, part-time positions with the churches, and she loved babysitting children of family and friends.

Cindy and her best friend and sister, Sherri, loved taking a "sister or girls day" and they often took trips to IHOP in Liberal and would goof off and enjoy the day whether it was shopping or driving around. Cindy and Sherri loved to laugh and have a good time. No one could mistake their laughter for anyone else.

Cindy loved butterflies. Her favorite colors were shades of purple. She loved meaningful gifts with biblical scriptures. Cindy loved watching a television murder mystery and Hallmark movies. She especially loved Murder She Wrote as well as Matlock, Kojak, The Andy Griffith Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, the Munsters, Mr. Ed, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Mary Tyler Moore, I Love Lucy, and Green Acres, to name a few. Cindy was one of the most selfless and giving humans whether it was giving some money to those in need or making a meal for someone.

During Cindy's last days, despite her weakened state, she was able to share beautiful moments of love and affection to all family and friends that visited. Her very last attempt at sitting up in bed was to give a hug to her sister Sherri as well as Ty Holland, Dewey Holland, and Cason Moore. She then laid herself down and went to sleep. The next day she had her final breath.

An additional important person in Cindy, Dewey, and Cory's life is Amandra VanZant also known to family and friends as Mandy. She was a dear friend and supported Cindy and the family and is a huge part of friendship and love for the family.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Dewey Loren Moore of Yarbrough, OK and their children Cason Wade Moore and husband Ryan Matthew Crosby of Walnut Creek, CA; Cory Kade Moore of Yarbrough, OK; and Taylor Loren Moore and Virginia Moore of Goodwell, OK. Cindy is also survived by her grandchildren, Katie Lynn Thomas of Bixby, OK and Hunter Loren Moore of Goodwell, OK.

Cindy was preceded in death by her daughter, Taneha Marie Thomas, who died October 27, 2019 at age 44 in Elkhart, Kansas while residing in the Elkhart Nursing Home.  Cindy was also preceded in death by her brother, Tony Chris Guymon, born December 5, 1951 and died February 1, 2021; her mother, Lane Guymon, of Eva/Yarbrough, OK was born Jan 17, 1930 and died Nov. 24, 2011; Her father, Jack Guymon of Eva/Yarbrough, OK, was born December 28, 1923 and died July 6, 2012.

A Celebration of Cindy's life will be held Thursday afternoon, July 20th at 3:00 pm at the Elkhart, KS Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Keith Davis and Pastor Roberto Ibarra officiating.  A reception with food and beverages will follow the service.

Cindy's wish was that her cremated remains be kept at home with Dewey Moore in Surrey Hills, Oklahoma next to the cremated remains of their daughter Taneha until the family determines a plan for the remains at a future time.
