Horace Trentham "Chuck" Winter, 91, of El Paso, Texas, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home in El Paso.

The son of Thomas Hurst and Lona Mae (Trentham) Winter, he was born July 8, 1932 in Newcastle, PA.  Chuck was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict; he was a design engineer with General Motors.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and first wife, Sally Winter.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Winter of the home; his two sons, Bruce Winter of Georgia and Scott Winter of Florida; four step children, Robert Nelson of Missouri, Adam Nelson of Guymon, Lori Merchant of Arkansas and Misty Birch of Duncan, OK, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, including grandson Nicholas Winter of Brazil.

Family graveside services were conducted Saturday afternoon, December 16th at 2:00 p.m. in the Elmhurst Cemetery.
