Charles E.
Campbell
Dec 17, 1976 — Jan 20, 2020
Guymon
Charles Edward Campbell, 43, left this life on January 20, 2020. He was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on December 17, 1976. He wasn't truly born until he and his sister were adopted by Pat and Theo Campbell in 1982. He grew up on the family ranch north of Clayton, New Mexico. He rode horses and worked cattle from a young age and was a rancher at heart.
Charles graduated with the Clayton Class of 1995. He was a talented artist and following high school attended OPSU to be an art teacher. This is where he met his future wife, Melissa Jensen. Charles and Melissa were inseparable from the moment they met on August 28, 1999. They were married December 14, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada. To this union, they added two boys, Ollie Gage and Eli Wade. He loved being involved in his boys lives. He coached them in basketball, football and baseball. He also impacted many other children throughout the years. He coached many, many Kids Inc. teams and has been the Cubmaster for the local Boy Scout Pack 163 for the last three years. He opened his heart to every child he coached and lead. This was his passion in life. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on his OU Sooners. Sometimes, he loved cheering the Dallas Cowboys too!
Charles was a member of the Northridge Free Will Baptist Church and had worked at Mathis Oil and Collingwood Grain when he came to Guymon in 1995. He has worked at BASCO for the past 18 years, rising to the level of Vice President.
Charles is survived by his love of 20 years, Melissa Campbell; his pride and joy children, Ollie Gage (14) and Eli Wade (11), all of the home; his sister, D'Angela and husband, Bill Johnson of Hillrose, Colorado; his second parents: Ronnie and Sandra Jensen of Guymon; Nephews and Nieces: Alex (Katie) Flores of Rio Rancho, NM, JT Skaggs (Victoria Lozano) of Amarillo, TX, Sierra Skaggs (Shawn Vigil) of Clayton, NM and Kora Soto of Hillrose, CO; great nephews: Christian Flores and Theo Vigil.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, January 24th at 10:00 a.m. at the Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Stacy Ross, pastor of the Northridge Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. MST at the Grandview Cemetery, northwest of Clayton. Friends are invited to wear their favorite sports shirts or Scout shirt to the service since sports and Scouting was such an important part of Charles' life.
Memorials in Charles' name can be made to Kid's Inc. or Guymon Cub Scout Pack 163. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942. Family and friends can sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
