Batterman
Dec 24, 1973 — Feb 17, 2026
Amarillo
Jeremy Chad Batterman, 52, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in Amarillo, Texas surrounded by his loving family.
The son of David E. and Gwenda Lou (Carver) Batterman he was born December 24, 1973 in Manassas, Virginia. Chad attended school in Guymon, graduating with the Class of 1992.
Chad and Elizabeth Walker were united in marriage on March 26, 2025 in Amarillo. Chad was a member of the Assembly of God, and attended Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo. Chad worked as a kennel technician. He had a brilliant mind with a love for animals – especially dogs—and he enjoyed working with bees. He had a beautiful singing voice and the ability to play several musical instruments. He could amazingly recite small trivia bits on just about any subject of any conversation. He loved history, especially stories about his family's history.
Chad was a people person. He had an uncanny ability to connect with anyone he met. He always wanted to learn the name of the person he was talking to at the moment. His good sense of humor would see him even poking fun at himself. Chad touched the lives of many with his profound sense of humor, warmth, his beautiful smile, and his outgoing nature. Many people have mentioned his smile and his way of easily putting people at ease. He was a generous friend with anyone around him who had a need – even if it was his last dollar. Chad would do anything he could to help anyone regardless of how he was feeling physically. Even in his final days when his pain levels were at their highest, he did his best to try and help with various tasks.
His faith remained strong. He loved our Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of the home, his parents, David E. and Gwenda Batterman, and brother, David L. Batterman and wife, Mary Ann all of Amarillo, Texas, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many close friends..
