Cesar Mejia, 55, of Hooker passed away early Friday, July 12, 2024 in Guymon from injuries of a work accident.

The son of Calletano and Ana Maria Mejia, he was born July 31, 1968 in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

Cesar and Alma Rubio were united in marriage on August 13, 1994 in El Paso, Texas.  The family moved to this area in 2010 and have lived in the Liberal, Turpin and Hooker area since.  Cesar worked for Seaboard Foods as a shag driver.

He was preceded in death by one son, Alejandro Mejia.

Survivors include his wife, Alma Mejia of Hooker; five children: Denise Mejia of Dallas, TX, Analee Mejia of Hooker, Jerardo Cesar Mejia of Hooker and Alejandra Emiley Mejia of Hooker; four grandchildren: Sebastian Mejia, Xiomara Mejia, Jayce Jones and Zenaida Anais Aguirre; his parents, Calletano and Ana Maria Mejia of Socorro, New Mexico; two brothers: his twin, Jaime and Gerardo; and two sisters: Sonia and Hilda.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday afternoon, July 17th at 2:00 pm at Iglesia de Fe y Restauracion/Church of Faith and Restoration, 513 N. Lincoln in Liberal, Kansas. Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
