Bobby Gene Carver, 81, of Guymon passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Heritage Community Center in Guymon.

The son of Joe and Ina Faye Carver, Bobby was born in Brownsboro, Texas on July 13, 1941.  In 1964 he moved his family from Lubbock, Texas to Guymon, Oklahoma to begin farming for the next 15 years.  Then Bobby worked for Phillips Petroleum for 11 years, while also having the NC+ Seed Dealership.

Bobby and Sheryl Korfman were united in marriage on March 1, 1991 in Guymon.  In 1991 he started Carver Sprinkler Systems of Guymon, which he owned and operated until his retirement in July 2021.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ina Faye Carver; one sister, Joey Lovato; one brother, Victor Carver; and one son, Bobby Lynn Carver.

Survivors include his wife, Sheryl of the home; two children: Ricky Carver of Guymon and Darla Guerra and husband, James of Little Elm, Texas; two step-daughters:  Ranelle Carter and husband, Steve of Hugoton, Kansas and Amy Hintergardt of Mustang, Oklahoma; and one daughter-in-law, Sheila Carver of Crane, Missouri.  Bobby is also survived by four sisters: Sue Hamill of Tyler, Texas, Wanda Smith and husband, Ivan of Guymon, Gwen Batterman and Carol Mandrell both of Amarillo, Texas; brother-in-law, Leo Lovato of Guymon; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family will greet friends at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home on Thursday evening, August 25 ^th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Graveside services will be conducted Friday afternoon, August 26 ^th at 2:00 p.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery with Jim Jamieson officiating.

Memorials in memory of Bobby can be made to the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
