Robert J. "Bob" King, 71, of rural Guymon passed away Monday night, January 25, 2021 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas.
The son of William Odie and Flossie Lee (Heard) King, Robert Joseph was born January 27, 1949 in Guymon, Oklahoma. Bob attended Straight school and then high school in Hooker, graduating with the HHS Class of 1967.
He was an active member of Grace Southern Baptist Church, had been an Awana Leader for over 30 years and was a volunteer for the Hough Fire Department. He participated in the Tractorcade in Washington, D.C. with the American Agriculture Movement in 1978.
Bob and Teresa Ann Reimer were united in marriage on October 22, 1983 in Meade, Kansas. They made their home north of Guymon where Bob worked in the farming industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Ivey and three brothers: Frank, Jim and John King.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa and son, John King of the home; four daughters: Jessica and husband, Austin Dunham of Matador, TX, Jennifer and husband, Brent Womack of Edmond, OK, Janette and husband, Dillon Schoenhals of Guymon and Janelle and husband, Matt Wiley of Norman, OK; five grandchildren: Landree, Emoree, Lawson, Reed and Lily, with another on the way; one brother, Ted King and wife, Patty of rural Guymon; along with many nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.
The family will greet friends on Friday evening, January 29 th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, January 30 th at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Russ Steel and Pastor Randy Caddell officiating. Interment will follow at the Barden Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. The services will be livestreamed through Grace Southern Baptist Church Facebook and YouTube.
