Beverly Peterson, 79, lifelong Guymon resident passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

The daughter of Adam Andrew and Myrtle Marie (Pyle) Nelson, Beverly Joyce was born August 27, 1942 in a farmhouse near Liberal, Kansas.  Beverly was raised and attended school in Guymon, graduating with the GHS Class of 1960.

Beverly and George Alvin Peterson were united in marriage on June 7, 1960 in Guymon.  Beverly was a devoted and loving mother and homemaker.  George preceded her in death on December 27, 2014.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons:  George Adam Peterson and Geoffrey Alan Peterson; one grandson, Geoffrey Alvin Peterson; two sons-in-law: Steve Harry and Craig Goad; one brother, Robert Donald Nelson and two sisters: Alberta Jean Carter and Jewell Marie Johnstone.

Survivors include one son, Gregory Alvin Peterson of Guymon; one daughter, DeDra Joyce Peterson of Guymon; seven grandchildren:  George Malaky and Chase Peterson, Albert Paul Perales, Felicia Monique and Trevor Clark, Gregory Donald Gene Patterson, Alania Peterson, DeDra Peterson and Geoana Jewel Joyce Peterson; and five great grandchildren: Tykoda, Ethaniel, Jaylon, Gavin and Noah.  Beverly is also survived by one brother, Monty Lee Nelson of Guymon, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday, February 18th at 2:00 pm at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel.  Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
