Betty Ruth Kidwell, 90, longtime Guymon resident passed away Thursday evening, August 16, 2018 at the Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

The daughter of Lonnie G. and Maude (Adams) Davis, Betty was born October 18, 1927 in Richards, Colorado. She graduated from Springfield, Colorado High School.

Betty and Floyd "J.R." Kidwell were united in marriage on September 2, 1948 at Covington, Kentucky. They moved to Guymon in 1955 from Springfield, Colorado. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1994.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Janice Francis and twelve siblings.

Survivors include her children: David Kidwell and wife, Marketta of Guymon, Leslie Floyd Kidwell and wife, Debbie of Virginia, Patrick Todd Kidwell of Guymon, Shelley Ruth Vitela of Newark Valley, New York, and Casey Alan Kidwell and wife, Sunday of Waverly, New York; 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Glen Davis and wife, Sheryl of Burlington, Colorado.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday morning, August 20th at 10:00 a.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon with William King officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

The family will greet friends on Sunday evening, August 19th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials in Betty's name can be made to a favorite charity. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
