Obituary

Graveside memorial services for Betty Holland will be conducted Saturday morning, May 29 , 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon with Rev. Larry Watson officiating.

Betty Ann (Harris) Holland passed peacefully in her home on November 10, 2019.  Betty was born April 12, 1946 to Jesse Elvira Harris and Lucille Mae (Blakney) Harris in La Junta, Colorado.

She was a member of the Order of the Rainbow for Girls in Colorado. She graduated from Guymon High School in Guymon, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, William Eugene Holland on December 31, 1965. They made a wonderful life, full of family, friends and great memories together square dancing, water skiing, snow skiing, traveling abroad and just enjoying family, friends and having fun. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed helping everyone she could.  She was a member of the American Business Women's Association where she made many great friends. She was a successful real estate agent for many years in the Kansas City area.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Jesse Harris, Lucille Blakney Stiner, her step-father Charles Stiner, her sister Alberta Fay Glenn and her husband Haskell Dwight Glenn.

She leaves behind her loving husband W.E. "Gene" Holland; her daughter Deborah (Holland) Davidson and husband, Michael; her brother, James L. Harris; her grandchildren and seven great grandchildren:  Aaron Davidson (Shelby), Mason Lee, Hunter Keith, Emma Lucille; Aaricka Davidson Otto (David), Auna Journey, Emerson Michael, Legacy Jade, Theobold Everett; Mason Gene Davidson; Cora LeeAnn Davidson.  She also leaves behind several close family members and some very special friends that she considered family.

The family wants to express their appreciation for all of the time, love and consideration that these friends have shared with us throughout all of this. Betty always considered herself extremely blessed to have such wonderful friends and we can't agree more.
