Barbara Sue Darnell, 77, of Guymon, passed away Saturday morning, August 28th, 2021 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.

The daughter of Hubbard and Mary Frances (Matthews) Harrill, she was born February 10, 1944 in Denver, Colorado. Sue attended school in Denver, graduating from Denver East High School in 1961.

Sue and Gary A. Darnell were united in marriage on December 23, 1961 in Denver. She worked as Administrative Assistant for Guymon Schools for several years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Jennifer Darnell.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Gary Darnell of the home, two daughters, Denise Darnell of Guymon, and Shelley Gollnick of Orland, California, one granddaughter, Kacey and husband, Alexander Anderson of Liberal, Kansas, a great grandson, Hendrix Anderson, and one brother, Bob Harrill and wife, Denise of Mexico.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Service arrangements were entrusted to the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
