Arla Mae (Anderson) Hintergardt, 74, lifelong Guymon resident, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 30, 2026 at the Integris Baptist Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The daughter of Robert "Bob" and Betty Jean (Coppock) Anderson, she was born October 6, 1951 in Cherokee, Oklahoma.  Arla attended school in Guymon, graduating with the Class of 1969.  She received her bachelor degree in Education from Oklahoma Panhandle State University.

Arla and Fred Hintergardt were united in marriage on April 23, 2001 in Mount Princeton, Colorado.

Arla wasan animal lover and loved to be known as grandmama to her granddaughter, Lauren.  She was a chocolate lover, known to finish off a package of Oreo cookies or plate of brownies in a day.  Arla was known for her considerate nature and her calendar was full of everyone's birthdays and important dates.  She was a huge collector of John R. Erickson's books and loved all of the 'Hank the Cowdog' books.  She was very active in the Historical Society, she loved to bake, as well as volunteer and work at estate sales. She loved saying, "I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck".  Arla was a member of the Victory Memorial Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Betty Anderson and several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Hintergardt of the home; son, Brock Allen and wife, Kristi of Windsor, Colorado; granddaughter, Lauren Allen; two stepdaughters: Erica Hintergardt of Oklahoma City and Honnie Tennant of Luther, Oklahoma; grandson, Colton Dudley of Guatemala; brother, Arris Anderson and wife, Nancy of Guymon; her aunt Ann and numerous cousins.

At her request, no service will be held.  Family inurnment will be in the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.
