Alonso Arroyo, 57, of Beaver, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, afternoon, January 27, 2022 at the Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

The son of Jose Luis Arroyo and Rebecca De Leon, he was born December 1, 1964 in Pedro Velix Durango, Mexico.

Alonso moved from Durango to California in 1982, in 2000 he moved to the Liberal/Beaver area, where he made his home.

He was a member of the Catholic Church. Alonso worked in maintenance for National Beef in Liberal for twenty years.

He is survived by nine children: Nancy Arroyo of Guymon, Janette Arroyo of Greeley, Colorado, Nereida Arroyo Of Greeley, Osiel Arroyo of Sulpher Springs, Texas, Alonso Arroyo of Beaver, Bryan Arroyo of Beaver, Javier Murrieta of Beaver and Alejandra Perez of Midland, Texas. Survivors also include six siblings: Flor Arroyo, Alfredo Arroyo, Catalina Arroyo, Osvaldo Castañeda all of California, and Olivia Castañeda of Mexico.

Rosary services will be Tuesday evening, February 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, February 2nd, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Guymon with Father Raul Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Pioneer Cemetery, Beaver, Oklahoma.
