Aleeta Wilcox, 77, of Guymon passed away Friday evening, November 11, 2016 at the Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

The daughter of John Clifford and Evelyn Marcella (Gough) Abrahams, Aleeta Evelyn was born November 3, 1939 in Potwin, Kansas. The family moved to Hooker when Aleeta was young and she attended the Hooker school system, graduating from Hooker High School. She then attended college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, receiving her bachelor's degree in business education in 1960.

Aleeta taught high school business education in Wallace Co., Kansas at USD 241 for 20 years, before moving to Guymon to help care for her parents. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Paul Abrahams.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Shan and Teressa Wilcox and grandson, Nataniel all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Madalyn Hemphill of Pueblo, Colorado; and cousin, Richard Gaines of Stinnett, Texas.

At Aleeta's request, there will be no public service. Inurnment will be at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the care of the Bunch -Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
