Obituary

Adelaida "Adela" Cazarez-Amparan, 78, of Optima, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

The daughter of Carlos Cazarez and Agripina Amparan, she was born July 25, 1942 in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico.

Adela and Andres "Andy" Martinez were united in marriage in 1972 and lived in Juarez, Mexico.  They moved to Boise City, Oklahoma in 1973 and lived there until 1987 when they moved to Guymon.  Andy passed away on October 23, 2006 and Adela then moved to Optima to be with family.

She is survived by her children: San Juana Gonzalez and husband, Remberto Gonzalez of Optima, Oklahoma, Martin Alarcon and wife, Irma Trejo of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Manuel Martinez of Perryton, Texas and Andrea Martinez and Agripina Martinez, both of Hampton, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren: Rosa Ibarra, Laura Castaneda, Francisco Gonzalez, Miriam Alarcon, Elizabeth Alarcon, Juan Ibarra, Jr., Marielasis Ibarra, Efrain Tamayo, Maria Aidee Hernandez, Sergio David Martinez, Analicia Yazmin Martinez, Manuel Martinez, Jr., and Andres Martinez; seventeen great-grandchildren: Karla Ibarra, Alaziel Ibarra, Zytaly Ibarra, Efrain Castaneda, Fabian Castaneda, Mikel Castaneda, Francisco "Gordo" Gonzalez, Javier "Spider" Gonzalez, Idalis Gonzalez, Sasha Gonzalez, Axel Gonzalez, Avner Gonzalez, Jesus Flores, Dan Flores, Ximena Flores, Ethan Madden and Ellen Madden; two great-great grandchildren: Emir Salazar and Xavion Ibarra; two brothers: Abraham Cazarez of California and Edmundo Cazarez of Juarez, Mexico; a brother-in-law, Isaac Martinez of Guymon, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be conducted Thursday, November 12 th at 4:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Raul Sanchez officiating.  Graveside services will be Saturday, November 14 th at 10:00 a.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery.
